🕯️ Olfactory Arts & Candle Care

Q: How should I care for my candle to ensure an optimal burn?

  • The First Burn: Allow the wax to melt completely across the surface to the edges of the vessel on your first burn (approximately 2–3 hours) to prevent tunneling.

  • Trim the Wick: Always trim the cotton wick to 5mm before every lighting. This ensures a clean, steady burn and minimizes black smoke.

  • Time Limit: Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. Allow the vessel to cool down completely before relighting.

  • The End of the Ritual: Discontinue use when only 5mm of wax remains at the bottom. The artisanal concrete vessel can be repurposed as a timeless object.

  • Safety First: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep out of reach of children, pets, and flammable materials. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface.

📦 Shipping & Delivery

Q: How long will it take to process and deliver my order?

  • Order Processing: All orders are processed within 3-5 business days. Orders are not shipped or delivered on weekends or holidays.

  • Shipping Estimates: Based on our logistics settings, the estimated delivery times are as follows:

    • Hong Kong: 3-7 business days.

    • Asia (Regional): 5-10 business days.

    • International (UK, Europe, North America): 7-14 business days.

Q: Will I be charged extra customs duties for international orders?

  • No. For international orders, all duties and taxes are included at checkout (Delivered Duty Paid - DDP). You will not be charged any additional fees upon delivery.

🔄 Returns & Refunds

Q: What is your return policy?

  • We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

  • Eligibility Conditions: To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it: unworn, unused, unlit (for candles), with tags, and in its original packaging. Scented products must remain sealed to ensure olfactory integrity. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Q: Can I return an item if I dislike the scent after opening it?

  • Due to the artisanal and personal nature of our olfactory arts, we do not accept returns for "change of mind" or scent preferences once the product packaging has been opened. We also cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Q: What about orders shipped to the European Union?

  • Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification, provided the item is in its original, unused, and sealed condition.

Q: How do I start a return and who pays for shipping?

  • To start a return, contact us at concierge@ironicparadoxists.com. If your return is accepted, please note that customers are responsible for all shipping costs related to returns or exchanges unless the item arrived damaged or defective. We recommend using a trackable shipping service as we cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item. Please contact us for the return address.

Q: When will I receive my refund?

  • We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.

⚠️ Damages & Issues

Q: My order arrived damaged or defective. What should I do?

  • Please inspect your order upon reception. If the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, contact us at concierge@ironicparadoxists.com within 48 hours so we can evaluate the issue and make it right. For damaged glass containers, please provide a photo within 48 hours of delivery.
